YOUR HOTEL The Stratford Manor Hotel is well located
for our base to explore the sights of this pretty part of
England. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone,
tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron & ironing
board, and Wi-Fi. There is a lift. The hotel enjoys pleasant PROGRAMME
leisure facilities and well kept gardens.
FRIDAY We depart and make our way on a scenic route
through some lovely Cotswolds villages before arriving
4 days - £625 at our hotel for the next three nights with dinner, bed
and breakfast. Time to settle in and relax before tonight's
8th November ‘24 dinner followed by entertainment.
SATURDAY This morning we visit the Shakespearian
town of Stratford-upon-Avon, with more than 800 years
of history, the town is well known as the birthplace of
the poet and playwright William Shakespeare. We take
a short photo stop at Anne Hathaway's idyllic cottage.
A 500-year-old cottage and the site on which William
courted Anne who later became Mrs Shakespeare.
After we journey into the centre of the town where the
rest of the day is free for you to explore at leisure.
Perhaps visit the house in which Shakespeare was
born, take a gentle stroll along the river, or relax in one
of the many coffee shops. We return to the hotel later to
relax before tonight’s dinner and entertainment.
SUNDAY After a leisurely breakfast, we head for the
station at Stratford-upon-Avon where we will find the
Shakespeare Express purring before it gathers all its
energy to steam us through the countryside. Sunday
lunch is provided on board as we are transported to a
bygone era of Pullman Rail Travel. Enjoy the opulent
carriage surroundings as you sit back and sink into your
plush Pullman carriage seat. Later, we return to the
hotel for the Bakers Dolphin brochure launch 2025!
In the evening enjoy dinner followed by entertainment.
MONDAY We depart after breakfast and head for home
with fond memories of a wonderful Reunion weekend.
